Workshop D: Supporting Social Learning in the Workplace

Next public workshop runs 9 November – 18 December 2020

Social learning is not not a new training trend; it’s the way we have always learned from one another. However, it is something that managers and individual will need to understand and value and recognise as an integral part of their daily work. In this workshop we will look at how to work with both managers and their teams t build a knowledge sharing culture, as well as support social learning across the organisation.

AGENDA

  • Week 1: Help managers understand social learning
  • Week 2: Help teams share and learn from one another
  • Week 3: Guide social learning experiences
  • Week 4: Facilitate team building
  • Week 5: Manage Communities of Practice
  • Week 6: Coordinate an events calendar

HOW THE WORKSHOP RUNS

Please note that this is not a traditional course; it is an active and interactive social workshop so you will be creating things and sharing your work with others. Each week there will be a reading from the MWL 2020 resource plus a Practical Task to complete and share with the group. There are no synchronous activities so that you can fit it into your working week. The workshop is hosted on our Yammer platform and facilitated by Jane Hart.

Note:

This workshop is one of 4 WORKSHOPS that form the Modern Workplace Learning Practitioner Programme (MWLPP)
The workshop content is also available as an ON DEMAND block of work.
You can find full details of MWLPP HERE
